About the Wine

Does this really taste like wine?

Yes. Andreina starts as a premium, full-strength Tuscan Syrah made using traditional winemaking methods. We preserve 99% of the original aromatic compounds and maintain the tannin structure that gives wine its body and character.

This isn't grape juice or a wine-flavored beverage—it's real wine with the alcohol carefully removed. You'll find the complexity, depth, and food-pairing ability you expect from a quality Tuscan red.

---

How is the alcohol removed?

We use a two-step patented process:

1. Aroma Capture: Before dealcoholization, we extract and preserve the wine's volatile aromatic compounds.

2. Low-Temperature Vacuum Distillation: Alcohol is gently removed under low temperature and pressure.

3. Aroma Reintegration: The preserved aromatic compounds are precisely reintroduced, recovering 99% of the original wine's aromatic profile.

---

Is it really non-alcoholic?

Andreina contains less than 0.5% ABV (alcohol by volume), which is legally classified as non-alcoholic in the United States.

For context, many everyday foods contain similar trace amounts of alcohol: ripe bananas (0.2-0.4%), orange juice (0.5%), and bread (up to 1.9%). You cannot get intoxicated from Andreina.

Health & Safety Questions

Q: Can I drink this if I'm pregnant?

A: While Andreina contains less than 0.5% ABV (similar to many foods), we recommend consulting your healthcare provider about your specific situation. Many pregnant women choose non-alcoholic wines, but every pregnancy is different.

Q: Can I drink this if I'm in recovery from alcohol addiction?

A: This is a personal decision that should be made with your support network and healthcare providers. While the alcohol content is negligible (<0.5% ABV), some people in recovery prefer to avoid anything wine-related, while others find non-alcoholic options helpful. Only you can decide what's right for your journey.

Q: Can I drink this if I'm on medication?

A: The alcohol content is minimal (<0.5% ABV), but if your medication has strict alcohol warnings, please consult your doctor or pharmacist about your specific medications.

Q: Is Andreina vegan?

A: Yes. We use no animal-derived fining agents in our winemaking process. Andreina is suitable for vegans.

Q: Is it gluten-free?

A: Yes. Wine is naturally gluten-free, and our process does not introduce any gluten.

Q: How many calories are in Andreina?

A: Just 15 calories per 5oz serving, with 2g of sugar. Compare this to regular wine (120-125 calories per 5oz serving).

Serving & Storage

Q: How should I serve Andreina?

A: Serve slightly chilled at 60-65°F (15-18°C)—cooler than room temperature but not as cold as white wine. Use a standard red wine glass to allow the aromas to open. For best results, decant for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Q: What foods pair well with Andreina?

A: Andreina is built for the table. It pairs beautifully with:

  • Grilled meats
  • Classic pasta dishes (e.g. pappardelle with ragù, norma, etc.)
  • Middle Eastern and Indian Cuisine
  • Aged Pecorino Toscano or Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • Prosciutto and salami

The structured tannins allow it to stand up to bold, hearty flavors.

Q: Can I cook with Andreina?

A: Absolutely! Use it anywhere you'd use red wine in cooking: risotto, sauces, braising liquids, reductions. The flavors will concentrate beautifully.

Q: How long does it last once opened?

A: Like traditional wine, enjoy Andreina within 3-5 days of opening. Store in the refrigerator with a cork or wine stopper to maintain freshness.

Q: How should I store unopened bottles?

A: Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and temperature fluctuations. While Andreina doesn't age like traditional wine, proper storage maintains quality. A best-by date is printed on each bottle.

What Makes Us Different

Q: How is Andreina different from other non-alcoholic wines I've tried?

A: Andreina is a premium product made from real Tuscan wine using traditional methods. We use:

  • 100% Cortona Syrah grapes
  • Traditional winemaking techniques
  • Aroma Capture Technology
  • Vintage-dating to honor terroir
  • Small-batch production for quality control

Most non-alcoholic wines either:

  • Start with inferior wine and strip everything out (resulting in thin, flat flavor)
  • Add sugar to compensate for lost body
  • Don't preserve aromatic compounds

The difference is in the glass.

Q: Why Syrah specifically?

A: Syrah is uniquely suited for non-alcoholic winemaking. It naturally develops robust tannins and full body (which remain after dealcoholization) and has intense aromatic complexity (which we preserve). Cortona's clay soils enhance these qualities, creating a wine with structure and depth that stands up to food.
